What sets Akaushi Apart
Akaushi cattle are a type of Japanese cattle originating in Kumomoto Japan. They are known across the world for having a unique disposition for developing more intramuscular fat, which leads to more marbling, tenderness and overall flavor than other cattle breeds.
Akaushi cattle also have unique health benefits. Akaushi or “Red Wagyu” has been studied and found to contain higher counts of monounsaturated fats, which are linked to reducing LDL (bad cholesterol). Additionally, Akaushi beef has also been found to contain higher amounts of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) which is attributed to supporting a healthier metabolism and improving overall heart health.
